Beaver Meadow Trail (3.1 km, RED trail markers)
This trail goes through flat territory, with one, very short, steep section. You will pass through a transition forest. There is a side trail to a beaver pond. You will also be able to use a viewing stand overlooking a large pond.

On October 9, 2008, the new boardwalk on the Red Trail was officially opened.

Beaver Meadow
  • the beaver have created this flooded meadow of cattails and rushes

Lowland Transition Forest
  • here the forest condition is returning after being distrubed by changes like mine sites and town sites
  • most common trees are poplar and birch

Stop by trail side and have a light lunch.
        But leave nothing behind.
